Potter's Field was where the rejected pottery was thrown
away. The money given to Judas for the betrayal of Jesus
was used to buy Potter's Field (Matthew 27:3-10). Potter's
Field was where they threw the "rejects" of society when
they died. When Jesus died on the cross, He died for all
those who are "rejects" of society. The Lord bought back
the "rejects" with His blood money. Matthew 11:28 says,
"Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest." Jesus wanted all of us to know that
even though we may look like "rejects" to the world, we are
a precious treasure to the Lord. I pray that this teaching
on Potter's Field blesses you and helps you understand how
much the Lord loves you. He paid the price so that we might
have life. |
